Greetings! I’m a heritage scholar, organizer and activist in Alaska. This means I am a public historian, curator, generous collaborator, gardener, harvester, and chronic instigator of multi-format arts, humanities, environment, and democracy projects.
My PhD research at Ulster University in Northern Ireland developed the concept of regenerative heritage, locating ways heritage enables a healthy web of life.
I previously worked as the Curator of Statewide Services at the Alaska State Museum and the Curator of Collections and Exhibits at the Kodiak History Museum. I am the editor and co-author of Tin Can Country: Southeast Alaska’s Historic Salmon Canneries and an Alaska Salmon Fellow.
I am always interested in collaborating on projects that engage culture in unexpected ways and places.
